It hit a house in Arcturus, a farming community 18.6 miles east of Harare, Zimbabwe’s capital.

Air Marshal Elson Moyo said, “We are profoundly saddened by the loss of lives following the tragic accident.”

Security forces are investigating after footage of burned parts of the helicopter surfaced on social media.

Zimbabwe’s Air Force complains that its helicopters and fighter jets are outdated, but it has been unable to replace them due to Western sanctions.
