We learned earlier this week that Barack and Michelle Obama had snubbed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry by declining to invite them to the former president’s birthday party last weekend. Now, Harry’s biographer has spoken out about why she believes the royal couple were left off the guest list.
“I’m confident that if they say we can only deal with one brother and his wife — you can’t have both since they’re so far apart now,” Angela Levin told The Sun. “The Obamas have clearly always held Harry in high respect, but I am confident they can see right through Meghan. They’ll probably stick around, but they won’t be as friendly as they used to be.”

Meghan “desperately wanted” to be invited to the party, according to Levin.
“I’m told Meghan badly wanted to be the featured guest at the Obama’s fantastic celebration, despite pretending she couldn’t attend,” Levin stated. “However, Harry and Meghan were never even on the original list,” says the source.
Meghan and Harry’s attempts to emulate “nearly everything the Obamas have done” since leaving the royal family, according to royal analyst Camilla Tominey, may have “jeopardized their once exceptional connection.”

Meghan and Harry criticizing the royals, according to Tominey, “arguably will not have gone down especially well with a couple who has always put the royal family first.”
Over the last year, Meghan and Harry have constantly assailed the royal family, alleging anything from racism to mental health insensitivity. It appears that this did not sit well with the Obamas, and Meghan and Harry may have been denied an invitation to the star-studded bash.
