According to Raw Story, the Congressman is still alive and has not been kidnapped by the Taliban. Mullin is “totally safe,” according to the office, which did not indicate where he was or if he was still attempting to enter Afghanistan.

The Congressman is also eager to do “everything in our power” to bring Americans home, according to the statement.
