Maricopa County’s Republican-led board of supervisors voted unanimously to notify the Arizona state Senate that it may file a lawsuit if the legislature does not come up with $2.8 million to cover the cost of replacing election equipment that has been “compromised” by a partisan, third-party review of the 2020 election.
At a meeting on Wednesday, Steve Gallardo, the board’s lone Democrat, said, “We should never be in this position, having to acquire new technology for subsequent elections.” “What has occurred over the previous eight months or so has been an injustice that has severely harmed not only our elections department, but also our democracy’s name and credibility.”
Whatever the left wants to say about this audit, the fact is that it is turning up more stones than any of their weak “investigations.”
