“Racism is real in America and it has always been. Xenophobia is real in America and always has been. Sexism, too,” Harris said.

In her statement, Vice President Harris mentioned that Trump was the one to blame for attacks on Asian Americans: “For the last year, we’ve had people in positions of incredible power scapegoating Asian Americans, people with the biggest pulpits, spreading this kind of hate.”

When she was running for president, she praised herself as” the first future Asian American president.”Just because her mother is Indian-American.

To follow up on her statement, Joe Biden discussed a bill that was proposed last year by Rep. Grace Meng, called “COVID 19 Hate Crimes Act,” but failed to pass. Biden called on Congress to pass the bill, which would punish any motivated by “the actual or perceived relationship to the spread of COVID–19 of any person” due to the “race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or disability of any person.” Biden also told Americans that “we have to change our hearts.”

This duo is like some Hollywood actors – “screen playing” their every single next move!
