For the second time in a week, the White House cuts Biden’s live feed after he offers to take questions after the Covid Roundtable Discussion (Video)

So far, Vice President Joe Biden hasn’t been quite as talkative as his predecessor, Donald Trump. Biden’s Twitter account is uninteresting, and his interactions with the press have been restricted — a few questions here and there, a CNN town hall, and no full-fledged presidential press conference yet.

Despite the fact that Biden has been president for 44 days, he has yet to hold a full-length press conference, beating out the previous laggard, President George W. Bush, who waited 33 days.

On his 20th day, President Barack Obama held his first press conference, while Trump did so on his 27th. Presidents Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Ronald Reagan all faced a lengthy grilling from the White House press corps after waiting fewer than ten days.

Biden took part in a virtual retreat for House Democrats on Wednesday via video conference. He spoke briefly about his coronavirus relief bill before returning the floor to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.). “If that’s what you — I’m meant to do, Nance,” Biden said, “I’m happy to take questions.” “I’ll do whatever you want.”

Both the White House and House feeds were then shut down.

So, what really is going on here? Who is the true power behind the scenes?

The people of the United States have a right to know.
