VIDEO: Cuomo Says Matt Gaetz Would be a ‘Dead Man’ on the Left

On his Tuesday night show, Chris Cuomo dove into the sex scandal involving Florida Republican Representative Matt Gaetz, but only on the surface, because, according to Cuomo, that’s essentially all that matters on the left.

Cuomo said that if he were a Democrat, he would vote for Hillary Clinton “On the left, he’d be a corpse. It’s all about optics, after all.”

“This is a faction that will hang with Matt Gaetz—and I’m all for due process—but on the left, he’d be a dead guy. It’s all about optics, after all. But they stay with him, with the QAnon kook, and they kill Liz Cheney here. So, if you’re a moderate, and you dip your toe into the water, aren’t you a walking corpse?”

Cuomo’s brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, has been accused of sexual assault by nine women and is being investigated by the office of New York State Attorney General Letitia James.

Cuomo was speaking to guests about the GOP split, which is a hot topic right now.

Gaetz proposed that Cheney be replaced as party chair in the summer of 2020. Cheney had a lot of Republican support at the time. CNN, on the other hand, has actively worked to undermine Gaetz.

Gaetz’s sex scandal, which would have enraged the left, particularly given that sitting senators like Al Franken have been removed from office for far less egregious offenses, has barely gotten a mention on the right. Both the right and the left have called for Governor Cuomo’s resignation. He has, however, refused to resign.
