According to a speech on his latest executive actions given on Thursday, President Biden is appointing a new “AFT” chief. Do you know who the “AFT” is? Don’t worry, neither does Vice President Joe Biden.
“Finally, the key department implementing gun laws, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, hasn’t had a permanent director since 2015,” Biden bumbled. “Today, I am honored to nominate David Chipman for the role of AFT Director.”

“David is very familiar with the AFT,” Biden said. As a result, you are now one of us.
On the White House website on Wednesday, Biden unveiled his six “initial” gun control orders:
“The President will appoint David Chipman to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms as Director. The ATF is the primary organization in charge of implementing our gun laws, and it requires a confirmed director to do its job effectively. However, since 2015, ATF has been without a confirmed manager. Chipman spent 25 years at the ATF and now works to promote commonsense gun control legislation.”
Chipman has been dubbed a “fierce” proponent of gun control. If Chipman leads the ATF rather than the “AFT,” Americans should expect even stricter gun control legislation.
