The most recent incident occurred in Cancun, Mexico, when a Mexican couple leased a boat on which they disclosed the gender of their new baby to friends and family when an airplane flew over the boat.
At first, everyone was ecstatic, yelling in Spanish, “It’s a girl!” when suddenly…everything went wrong.
The plane that was showing the child’s gender took a sharp turn and plunged into the water.
Both passengers and crew members perished.

Two people were killed when a plane used for a gender reveal in Mexico crashed into the waters off the coast of Cancun, killing the expectant parents and their relatives and friends.
According to The Sun, the group was all on a boat watching the plane flyover in the Nichupte Lagoon off the coast, streaming a sign announcing the baby’s gender.
The group can be heard exclaiming, “It’s a girl!” in a video.
But then things got a little grim.
“It’s all fine as long as it doesn’t end up smashing into us,” one of the crowd joked, according to the Sun. “Seconds later, the partygoers heard the plane taking a dramatic nosedive into the sea, and the joyous atmosphere took a drastic turn. … One stunned attendee exclaimed, ‘Surely this can’t be happening!’
The Navy was dispatched to the venue. One individual died at the scene, and another died while undergoing first-aid treatment. The cause of the accident is currently being investigated.
This is heartbreaking, but it could prompt others to rethink their lavish parties and even cut down on some of the reckless antics.
