A spokesperson for the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) said on Saturday that the command was unaware that a newly hired officer had compared former President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler and expressed support for the quasi-Marxist equity theory.
Richard Torres-Estrada was appointed as USSOCOM’s director of diversity and inclusion on Thursday.

Last year, Torres-Estrada compared Trump, who was president at the time, to Hitler, who was responsible for the Holocaust, which killed millions of Jews across Europe. According to Facebook posts checked by The Epoch Times, he also made at least one other explicit anti-Trump tweet.
Torres-Estrada also shared a picture supporting the radical theory of justice, which claims that a fair result for all people favors some people getting ahead of others.
Despite widespread complaints that it fosters bigotry, President Joe Biden has implemented the philosophy through the federal government.
On Saturday, Ken McGraw, a USSOCOM public relations officer, told The Epoch Times that when Torres-Estrada was recruited, the special operations command was “unaware of the messages.”
He added via email, “Now that we are aware of the situation, we are looking into it.”
Torres-Estrada did not respond to a message left on his Facebook page.
Torres-Estrada has held positions as an equal employment officer for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority and as the director of the Virginia Department of Human Resource Management’s Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, among others.
On Friday, Fox News host Tucker Carlson targeted Torres-Estrada for his radical social media messages.
“Who is Richard Torres-Estrada, exactly? His Facebook page gives us some insight into his personality. There’s an assault on the police on it, as well as crude BLM propaganda and a photo of Donald Trump carrying a Bible in front of a church. A photograph of Adolf Hitler stands next to Trump. The argument is that they’re identical. So, this is the guy who now oversees the SEALs’ hiring,” Carlson explained on his show.
“If you’re wondering if our military leadership has been more awake, consider the question answered. The Pentagon has been transformed into a Yale faculty lounge, complete with cruise missiles. That should be a source of concern for you,” he added.
Carlson and the Pentagon had a verbal spat earlier this month, with top military officials publicly bashing the host after he slammed Biden’s emphasis on bringing more women into the military, arguing that it came at the cost of accepting the best candidates and ensuring America’s readiness to battle its enemies.
