Sullivan was dressed in MAGA gear and pretended to be an independent reporter, but he was really a left-wing insurgent leader who encouraged violence and told people to “burn” the house.

According to court filings, US authorities seized $90,000 from a Utah man who sold video of a woman being fatally shot during the Jan. 6 assault on the US Capitol by supporters of former President Donald Trump.

Sullivan currently faces eight criminal counts in connection with the riot, including firearms offences. A request for comment from Sullivan’s lawyer was not immediately returned.

According to court documents, Sullivan pretended to be an independent journalist covering the chaos, but in reality he urged others to “burn” the building and participate in violence.

According to court documents, Sullivan captured video of the rioters and police outside the United States House of Representatives chamber, which included the shooting of protester Ashli Babbitt, and boasted to an anonymous witness that “my footage is worth like a million of dollars, millions of dollars.”

According to a search warrant, Sullivan sold the video to many news outlets for a total of $90,000. The names of the news organizations were blacked out of the warrant.
