Trump Finally Showed The Supreme Court Their Place

Former President Donald Trump spoke out on Monday to respond publicly after his request to keep New York investigators from accessing his financial records was denied by the Supreme Court.
Trump wrote in a lengthy statement that was released to the public, “The Supreme Court should never have let this ‘fishing expedition’ occur, but they did.”

This came after the Supreme Court voted to deny Trump’s appeal to stay the decision of a lower court, allowing prosecutors to subpoena his tax, financial, and bank records. This did not sit well with Trump, who blasted Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr.’s initiative as “a continuation of our country’s greatest political Witch Hunt.”
Trump said, according to The Hill, “The Tea Party was treated far better by the IRS than Donald Trump.” “This is something that’s never happened before to a President.”
The former president, not stopping there, also toppled the investigation as a political attempt by officials from Democratic New York, including Gov. Andrew Cuomo, to punish him for winning the presidency.
Trump wrote, “The new phenomenon of ‘headhunting’ prosecutors and AGs, who try to take down their political opponents using the law as a weapon, is a threat to the very basis of our freedom.”
Trump then warned that the ongoing investigation imitated those seeking to prosecute their political opponents from third-world countries.
“That’s fascism, not justice, and that’s exactly what they’re trying to do with me, except that it won’t be upheld by the people of our country,” he wrote.
Trump has made it clear, despite his strong feelings about this, that he has no intention of giving up.
“For the last five years (even before I was successfully elected), I will fight on, just as I have, despite all the electoral crimes that have been committed against me,” Trump said. “We’re going to win! ”
