The Los Angeles County Sheriff stated on Wednesday that “A cause has been determined; the investigation has concluded. We have reached out to Tiger Woods and his personnel — we need — there are some privacy issues on releasing information on the investigation, so we’re going to ask them if they waive the privacy, and then we will be able to do a full release on all the information regarding the accident.”
“You have an accident and you have deliberate acts,” Villanueva, continued. “It’s an accident, OK. We’re reaching out to Tiger Woods to be able to release the report itself, and nothing has changed from what we know and what we learned throughout the course of the investigation. And everything we did turned out to be accurate.”
Woods had a shocking accident while driving himself to a photoshoot in Southern California, and he wasn’t aware of the cause of the accident but was aware and conscious when the police came on the scene.
The Sheriff previously referred to the car crash as “purely an accident,” and he didn’t expect any charges to be filed.
Afterward, a warrant to search the SUV’s black box was obtained, though they explained that this was merely a routine thing to do in such case scenarios.
