The Mainstream Media Has Suddenly Realized That Donald Trump Was Correct About Coronavirus Origins All Along

(Natural News) When former President Donald Trump declared early in the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak that he had “a high degree of confidence” that the virus had escaped from a lab, the mainstream media pounced.

CNN claimed on May 1 of last year that Trump had “contradicted” the intelligence community by claiming to have seen evidence that the virus originated in a laboratory.

“President Donald Trump contradicted a rare on-the-record statement from his own intelligence community by claiming that he has seen evidence that gives him a ‘high degree of confidence’ the novel coronavirus originated in a Wuhan, China, laboratory, but declined to provide details to back up his assertion,” according to the Washington Post. In a story headed “Anthony Fauci just smashed Donald Trump’s theory on the origins of the coronavirus,” CNN’s editor-at-large Chris Cillizza attacked Trump’s claim four days later.

“Remember this: Only one of these two people is a world-renowned infectious disease expert before we play the ‘he said, he said’ game. It isn’t Donald Trump, either,” Cillizza noted.

“In short, Fauci’s perspective on the disease’s origins is far more important than Trump’s. Outside of Trump and his own inner circle, most people in a position to know are extremely skeptical of Trump’s claim that the virus emerged from a lab – whether by mistake or design.

The Washington Post, New York Times, and NPR all dismissed the possibility that the virus originated in a laboratory. Any notion that the virus originated in a lab, according to the Huffington Post, is a “toxic conspiracy theory.” (See also: The biggest coronavirus myths: Origins, Treatments, and Vaccines.)

“Chinese lab did considerable study on lethal bat viruses, but there is no evidence of unintentional release,” the Washington Post said on April 30, 2020. On April 30, 2020, the New York Times described the Trump administration’s efforts to learn more about the virus’s origins as a political witch hunt; on April 30, 2020, the New York Times described the Trump administration’s efforts to learn more about the virus’s origins as a political witch hunt; on April 30, 2020, the New York Times described the Trump administration’s efforts.

COVID-19 is now thought to have originated in a Wuhan lab, according to the mainstream media.
In recent months, the narrative has begun to shift. COVID-19 may have started in a Wuhan lab, according to the left-leaning mainstream media. They’re now posting stories that claim the virus came from a Wuhan lab, and they’ve conducted interviews with people who support the lab-leak explanation.

CNN’s chief medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, met with Robert Redfield, the former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, on March 26. (CDC). According to Redfield, the virus escaped from a laboratory.

“I continue to believe the most likely genesis of this disease in Wuhan was from a laboratory, you know, escaped,” Redfield added. “It’s fine if other people don’t believe that. It will take science a long time to find it out. It is fairly uncommon for respiratory infections that are being studied in the lab to infect the lab worker.”

CNN stated on May 24 that there may be more to the Wuhan lab than first thought. “New information on Wuhan researchers’ illness furthers debate on pandemic origins,” the network wrote in an update.

The Wall Street Journal had reported a day before that three Wuhan Institute of Virology researchers had become ill enough to be hospitalized.

Nicholas Wade and Donald McNeil, both former New York Times science reporters, indicated earlier this month that they now believe it is feasible, if not likely, that the virus originated in a lab.

The Huffington Post published a follow-up article on May 24 to the Wall Street Journal’s investigation on the hospitalization of Wuhan lab workers in 2019. The headline read, “Wuhan Researchers Were Hospitalized With COVID-19 Symptoms Pre-Pandemic: Reports.”

With an article titled “Calls For An Open Investigation Into The Possibility COVID-19 Leaked From A Lab,” NPR revised its narrative as early as March 31.

Health officials also support the lab-leak explanation.
After China closely supervised an on-site inspection and who the researchers compiling the report spoke to, a World Health Organization (WHO) study released in January only served to raise additional suspicions. The WHO team was only permitted three hours inside the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), and they were not allowed to look through any of the institute’s safety logs or records of personnel testing. The WHO’s director-general, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said the visit was inconclusive and that “all possibilities are open” and that more research is needed.

According to CNN’s Cillizza, Fauci’s opinion on the disease’s origins matters a lot more than Trump’s. Fauci indicated in a recent Senate hearing that the “possibility certainly exists” that the COVID-19 virus escaped from a Wuhan lab.

When asked if the virus came from a natural source, Fauci said he’d like to investigate further. He stated, “I am not convinced about that.” “I believe we should keep looking into what happened in China until we have a better understanding of what happened.”
