Schumer mocks Texas’s government because they ignored the climate changes resulting in a power crisis. Chuck Schumer is the Senate Majority Leader, and he harshly criticized Texas while reporting on Sunday.

The unification of snow, ice, and blistering arctic air left millions of Texas citizens in the dark and cold for several days.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas is responsible for the electricity supplying process. Texas was very close to experiencing a catastrophe with the energy grid during the cold snap. If this catastrophe happened, the state would have been in the dark and cold for a couple of months.

The only state in the U.S to run its own stand electricity grid was Texas. But, they hadn’t been forced to weatherize, and it isn’t federal oversight’s subject.

Currently, we don’t know the precise number of people who died from extreme cold.

According to him, probably Texas learned its lesson. Schumer refers his statement to the authorities who ignored climate change.
