Cruz went on a social media rant on Tuesday, holding Biden and Harris accountable for their bungled Afghanistan pullout.
Cruz demanded a full probe of what is going on inside the White House.
He’s inquiring as to what the two leaders may have known and when they knew it before making the choice.
Senator Cruz made the following statement on Twitter:
“The situation in Afghanistan is a complete disaster. Serious public congressional investigations into what went wrong are required.”
He also said in another tweet:
“How much did Joe Biden and Kamala Harris know about this? When did they become aware of it? “Who was it that told them?”
Joe Biden, according to Ted Cruz, is responsible for Afghanistan’s “military disaster.”
That’s according to Fox Business:

What did Joe Biden and Kamala Harris know?
When did they know it?

Joe Biden, according to Ted Cruz, is responsible for Afghanistan’s “military disaster.”
That’s according to Fox Business:
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, blasted the Biden administration for its botched Afghanistan exit during “Varney & Co.” Tuesday, arguing the “military failure” falls on the president and his administration.
“What we have seen is an incredibly, poorly executed exit from the theater,” Cruz told FOX Business host Stuart Varney.
The Texas senator’s criticism of the president comes as chaos ensues over the Taliban’s swift takeover of the region following the United States’ exit.
The vocal GOP senator described the outcome of the withdrawal as “a military failure” and called for “serious public congressional inquiries” into what went wrong with the Biden administration’s Afghanistan exit.
“Biden owns both the decision to leave and the catastrophic withdrawal he oversaw as commander-in-chief.”
Exactly. There need to be serious, public, and transparent congressional inquiries into what went wrong in Afghanistan. https://t.co/r2VMv69Zck

Ted Cruz tweeted a piece from The Federalist in which Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan was also criticized:
The Biden administration also reversed several extremely effective policies Trump adopted to address the border crisis, including Trump’s decision to use Title 42 authority to expel aliens to Mexico or their country of origin, given the public health crisis presented by COVID-19. Biden also ditched the former president’s “remain in Mexico” policy that prevented illegal aliens from absconding within the United States while awaiting immigration hearings. These reversals quickly led to the now record-setting crisis on the Southern border.
If Biden believed it in America’s best interest to remain in Afghanistan for the long-term, for another year, or even for another month, as commander-in-chief he could have made that call.
Further, even if leaving now is in our country’s best interests, Biden bears full responsibility for his failed execution of the withdrawal. Under Biden’s command, the Taliban reportedly seized hundreds of U.S. Humvees, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, and several million-dollar U.S. drones.
No one but Biden is to blame for the administration being “clearly caught off guard by the Taliban’s rapid advances in recent days as the militant Islamic group took over a slew of provincial capitals across the country and encircled Kabul,” forcing Biden to rush thousands more troops to Afghanistan just to safely evacuate American and embassy personnel two full weeks before the August 31 deadline Biden had announced for withdrawing all U.S. forces from Afghanistan.
There is much to debate about the United States’ involvement in a 20-year war in Afghanistan, but it should be clear to all that Biden botched the withdrawal. The only question remaining is exactly how badly.

Joe Biden blamed President Trump, whose framework and deadlines Biden-Harris officials abandoned.
He blamed the Afghan military in which he had put his ‘trust,’ saying they lacked the will.
He blamed everyone except himself.
That is not the behavior of a leader.

Thousands of Americans remain in Afghanistan and it appears the Biden administration had no reasonable plan to safely allow those Americans to leave.
This failure falls squarely on the president. But Joe Biden is trying to blame everyone except himself & his own administration. pic.twitter.com/THdlcGisey

#Democrat-led Senate (1) Intelligence, (2) Foreign Relations & (3) Armed Services committees are all planning to investigate what they call the "horrifying results" of not "being better prepared" & the admin's "flawed execution of the U.S. withdrawal."https://t.co/VJ55OW9SyT pic.twitter.com/rEbHFThU5e

The Democracts need to lose control of the House and Senate. We need leaders who act with gravitas as Congress must investigate Biden withdrawing US forces from Afghanistan as it benefits the Taliban and China but hurt our allies.

The Pentagon and Biden Administration should be investigated for this withdrawal.
They have abandoned Americans and the Afghanis who assisted our efforts and were promised security.
They have left trillions in American technology, infrastructure, and weapons.
INVESTIGATE!

President Biden recklessly pulled out of Afghanistan without a plan, leaving thousands of Americans and those we’ve made promises to behind.
It was incumbent on him to get America and her allies out safely—he failed those who counted on him most. pic.twitter.com/TVyURdpagK
