SURPRISE: Trump Reveals Family’s Political Future Publicly

On Friday, Donald Trump shocked a crowd of dog rescuers in Palm Beach. The former president explained why he came to pay an unexpected visit.
“I wasn’t expecting this, but I was walking by when I heard someone crying… and I said, ‘What’s up?’ and she said, ‘We’re trying to support dogs,’ which I’m fine with,” Trump said. The crowd was enthralled.

According to Chase Scott, spokesperson for Big Dog Ranch Rescue, “the crowd replied with a standing ovation for President Trump, Lara Trump, and Laurie Simmons for their efforts in passing the first national anti-cruelty bill to protect animals.”
NBC announced that Trump also hinted that his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, would run for Senate.

According to the Washington Examiner, the fundraiser was hosted by Lauree Simmons, president and founder of Big Dog Ranch Rescue, to help dogs from China migrate to the United States.
According to the article, “her fundraiser aims to highlight China’s dog meat market trade and set a target of raising $500,000 to help dogs in China avoid the harvesting trade.”
“[What you’re] doing is so critical, and I’m with you 100 percent, and you had several meetings in the White House and the Oval Office about saving and helping dogs,” Trump said during his speech.
As a former president, Donald Trump has made at least two surprise trips. He shocked a couple taking engagement images in Mar-a-Lago in February.
