Stacey Abrams, the defeated Democratic Georgia gubernatorial nominee, revealed in a recent interview with “CBS Sunday Morning” that she “completely” plans to run for president in the future.

“You previously said that people take voting for granted,” Abrams responded. “If you’ve never had to consider the difficulty of voting, then these discussions about voter fraud will seem ludicrous. When you’ve never waited in line for more than seven minutes, it’s difficult to believe that poor Black people wait in line for eight hours, lose an entire day’s pay, and risk losing their jobs just to vote in an election that may or may not affect their lives.”
“It’s possible that ensuring Abrams’ right to vote would help her realize her greatest ambition, which is to run for President,” host Erin Moriarty speculated.
“Do I regard it as a goal? Abrams responded, “Absolutely.” “More importantly, when someone asks if that is my goal, I have a duty to say yes, for every young woman, every young person of color, who sees me and chooses what they are capable of based on what I believe I am capable of. It’s all that, “You can’t have something you won’t dream of.”
