Senate Passed The Funding Bill In 69-28 Vote, Averts Government Shutdown! These Republicans Supported The Dems!

On Thursday, the Senate passed the stopgap funding bill to avert a government shutdown, with 69-28.

Senator Mike Lee wanted to prohibit federal money from being used to fund Biden’s mandates. However, it failed 48-50.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell convinced enough Republicans to vote for the Stopgap bill without changes.

Earlier on Thursday, the House voted 221-212 and passed the interim bill, where all Dems supported it, and one RINO Republican, Adam Kinzinger, voted with the Democrats.

The bill that allocates an additional $7 billion for Afghan refugees goes to Biden’s desk for signature.
