While conservatives have developed their own methods of gathering news and information, the mainstream media continues to rule the roost, with no signs of waning.
However, one Reagan-appointed federal judge has had enough of the biased press and is taking serious steps to ensure that they are reined in.
Judge Laurence Silberman claims that the liberal media is stifling conservative voices, and that in order to restore a level playing field, he is pleading with the Supreme Court to overturn major legislation that gives the media a great advantage.

A federal appeals court judge in Washington, D.C., has written a scathing dissent, accusing the media of acting as a “trumpet” for the Democratic Party and urging his colleagues to overturn a landmark Supreme Court decision protecting the press.
Conservatives are being persecuted by overwhelmingly liberal news media, academia, and tech businesses, according to Senior Circuit Judge Laurence Silberman, who described it as a “frighteningly orthodox media culture.”
The judge was responding to a decision on Friday to dismiss a libel suit brought by two former Liberian officials against the human rights organization Global Witness over a report alleging they had accepted bribes from an oil company.
In the case of New York Times v. Sullivan 1964, Silberman, who was nominated by Republican President Ronald Reagan in 1985, was the only judge to dissent, finding that the plaintiffs could not prove “real malice.”
In his dissent, the 85-year-old judge condemned the legal precedent for expanding media power, which he called “so dangerous” because “we are very close to one-party control of these institutions.”
He then went on to criticize media outlets as well as Silicon Valley, claiming that they are to blame for the growing anti-conservative bias in the news.
