Psaki Was Locking Kids in Cages At the Border!?

White House press secretary Jen Psaki was pounded on Tuesday during a press conference after the Biden administration opened a detention camp to lock up Mexican kids on the southern border.

Peter Doocy, a Fox News reporter, called out Psaki and the Biden administration for their obvious hypocrisy on the subject, given that her administration has frequently bashed the Trump administration in the past for taking the same step.

“So during COVID-19 this is a temporary reopening,” she said. “It’s very much our intention to close it, but we want to make sure we can follow COVID protocols as unaccompanied minors enter the United States.”

But it’s the same facility that the Trump administration opened for a month. “Summer 2019, that’s when Joe Biden said that there were horrific scenes at the border of kids being kept in cages under Trump,” hammered Doocy. And Kamala Harris said that the human rights violations perpetrated by the United States government is essentially babies in cages. And how is it any different from this? ”

“We feel that way a lot. “These are facilities, let me be clear here, one, a pandemic is going on,” she responded. I’m sure you don’t say that we have kids right next to each other in ways that are not healthy for COVID, do you? ”

“I’m suggesting that Kamala Harris said that this facility, putting people in this facility, was an abuse of human rights committed by the government of the United States and Joe Biden said that there were horrific scenes at the border of children being kept in cages under Trump,” Doocy said. “It isn’t under Trump now, it’s under Biden.”

Psaki responded, “This is not kids being kept in cages.” “This is children, this is a facility that has been opened, it will meet the same requirements as other HHS facilities, It is not a clone, definitely not, it’s never our intention to duplicate the previous administration’s immigration policies, yet we’re in an inhumane state where we’re not going to remove unaccompanied minors from the border. That is not what we, as an administration, can do here.
