The Los Angeles Police Department has written to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, requesting that the league launch an official investigation into LeBron James for threatening an Ohio cop.

“We formally request that you conduct an investigation into Mr. James’ social media post to determine if he violated any NBA policies, and if so, to keep Mr. James responsible for any violations of those policies.”

According to Bizpacreview, though LeBron later removed the threatening tweet due to widespread criticism, it doesn’t matter because his “incitement” has already hit the masses, according to union officials.
“I apologize, but it’s already out there, and it’s been screenshotted and posted several times. Officers are sent out into the field to make split-second decisions, and if they make the wrong one, they will risk their lives. What choices would LeBron James have to make on a regular basis — layup or slam dunk? If he loses, he returns home. We don’t go home if we lose,” he told Laura Ingraham of Fox News.
