Pelosi Says Joe Biden Is Not To Blame for Border Crisis

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) acknowledged a crisis at the southwest border on Wednesday, but absolved President Joe Biden of any responsibility due to his brief time in office.

During an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Pelosi said, “The president has been in office for not even two months.”

She confidently said, “They are addressing it, and it will change,” without providing any evidence to back up her point. When it comes to unaccompanied children at the border, she added, “we are all impatient.”

“When it comes to the girls, you can imagine that as a mother of five, any minute that a parent is separated from a child is a crisis to me,” Pelosi said. “As a result, we want this to move along quickly.”

According to Breitbart News, the crisis at the southern border has been escalating for weeks and is now gaining national attention as more children arrive on their own.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) told Breitbart News on Tuesday that Biden’s “open border program” and assurances of amnesty are a “invitation” for transnational criminal cartels to engage in illegal immigration, human smuggling, and sex trafficking.

On SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow, Blackburn said, “What we are seeing is a true surge at the border.” “It’s a disaster, and it’s a crisis created by the Biden administration.

“When President Biden literally said our border is open — you won’t be deported, you won’t be turned away — people interpreted it as an etched invitation to come to the United States and line up for benefits.”

Under Biden’s national immigration initiative, “nobody will be recalled” from the United States unless they commit a felony:

Pelosi dismissed the idea that Biden’s policies are a “pull factor” for migrants to migrate to the United States. If people are escaping violence, she says they should seek refuge in the United States.

“Yes, it is agreeable if they have a well-founded fear of persecution,” Pelosi said. “We must discuss the root causes of this migration… It would be helpful if we could assist them in our hemisphere. People prefer to sit at home.”
