On I95, Law-Abiding Citizens Tet Caught in a Standoff With Massachusetts Police

The mainstream media is reporting on a confrontation between law-abiding residents and Massachusetts police on the morning of Saturday, July 3rd.

The mainstream media swiftly characterized the incident as a standoff with military-minded anti-government protesters. Before any details were known, the narrative had to be established that these were some anti-government conspiracy theorists in possession of weaponry they shouldn’t have.

The irony here is that according to the YouTube footage, one of people involved in the police confrontation appears to be a black man.

He claims to be live streaming in this video and gives a first-hand account of what happened throughout the standoff.

The males involved in the standoff were described as “armed and dangerous” by police. In addition, a shelter-in-place order was issued for the nearby districts.

After receiving this news, it’s important to put it into context with what’s going on in the rest of the country.

We’ve seen armed militant groups like antifa and Black Lives Matter amass weapons and torch cities around the country.

We were told that the violence and looting that followed were otherwise peaceful demonstrations.

These ostensibly peaceful protests featured the destruction of private property and even the loss of life, while the men arrested in Massachusetts were described as armed and dangerous as well as anti-government.

Everyone should be concerned about law enforcement’s arbitrary acts. Police officers now have to choose between following elected politicians’ sometimes unlawful directives and upholding and defending the constitution, which they swear to uphold and defend.

It is up to us to bring such events to light. When the media portrays law-abiding armed individuals as anti-government radicals, we must explain to the public that we are bound by the constitution, not by radicals.
