The source, who asked not to be identified, said Newsom’s symptoms were similar to those associated with Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS), a known side effect of many vaccines.
GBS is a neurological disorder in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks part of its peripheral nervous system — the network of nerves located outside of the brain and spinal cord — and can range from a very mild case with brief weakness to paralysis to leaving the person unable to breathe independently.
The governor has not been seen in public since he was photographed Oct. 27 getting his COVID booster.
On Oct. 29, Newsom’s office issued a statement referring to unspecified “family obligations” as the reason the governor canceled his scheduled appearances, including his planned meetings at the global COP 26 climate conference in Glasgow, Scotland.
A local ABC News outlet reported that when “the surprising announcement was made,” a spokesperson said Newsom planned to participate virtually in the climate conference. However, Newsom’s name was removed from the schedule and he did not participate.
On October 1, Newsom was the first governor to mandate the vaccines in his state, California, for school children.
On October 1 Newsom bragged California was “the first state in the nation” with a student vaccine mandate. It's November 1 and California is still the only state.

However, now he has been found. Newsom appeared at an over-the-top wedding officiated by Nancy Pelosi of all people.

Speculation had surrounded Newsom’s disappearance since Oct. 27, when he received a coronavirus vaccine booster shot. Despite announcing his plans to attend the summit on climate change — a key issue for Newsom — he canceled, suddenly.
Newsom’s office cited “family obligations,” but said nothing more; his wife, California First Lady Jennifer Seibel Newsom, suggested in a now-deleted tweet that her husband may have been “just in the office working” or spending time with his kids.
It now appears the “family obligations” involved the Getty family, the oil dynasty to which Newsom has close family ties.
The wedding took place on Saturday, with Newsom in attendance and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) presiding.

The bride first met her groom through a family member, and they eventually ran into each other again at Paris Fashion Week. “I saw this cute guy who was taking photos of the event and of me,” she remembers. “I naturally went over, and we started talking. Quickly we realized that we had met before, the year before.”

John was involved in every aspect of how the party would look, establishing the hair styles and so on, and the result was incredibly beautiful and poetic.”
Guests were asked to mask up before Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi entered the room and took her position at the microphone.

Vogue documented the star-studded affair, which was hosted in San Francisco’s iconic Beaux-Arts city hall and officiated by none other than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Newsom’s father had managed the Getty family’s $2 billion trust and become friends with Gordon Getty, the son of patriarch J. Paul Getty. Starting with Gavin’s first-ever campaign in 1998, the Getty family became the second-largest donor of his career, giving Newsom more than a half-million dollars over two decades. So, it’s just typical for Newsom to be tossing back Veuve Cliquot with his billionaire pals.

It’s not that Pelosi, the sixth-wealthiest person in Congress, doesn’t belong among her fellow Pacific Heights multimillionaires. It’s merely that she’s doing it while hundreds of Americans and countless Afghan allies remain trapped. And Pelosi has no problem fiddling while her president’s approval numbers burn. Ordinary Californians are struggling to feed their families amid soaring gas and grocery prices. Pelosi, fresh from trying to give the rich a huge tax cut by repealing the SALT deduction cap, showed up to celebrate a family that made its billions by destroying the environment.
