The left has been looking for any cause to impeach or perhaps imprison former President Donald Trump since he defeated Democratic heavyweight Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. The only problem is that every accusation or probe leveled against Trump has turned out to be a pure fabrication contrived by Democrats to force him out of office. With no other options or ways to criticize Trump, the left appears to be back to blaming him for events that have yet to occur. The Democrats’ newest demand is that Trump be arrested for “insurgency 2.0.”
Glenn Kirschner, an MSNBC legal analyst, was speaking with liberal host Dean Obeidallah on Friday when he shockingly suggested that Attorney General Merrick Garland arrest Trump because he is a “public safety risk.” “Don’t we have to step out and charge Trump since he’s still pushing ‘The Big Lie,’ swindling his followers, and, in a very real sense, recruiting foot troops for insurgency 2.0? Nothing would make Donald Trump happier than a second insurgency.”

Surprisingly, despite the fact that Kirschner, a former U.S. Army prosecutor, should know the law, he continued to insist that Trump is a growing threat who should be jailed.
Or have the balances tipped, and is public safety now so important that we must halt the inquiry, make arrests, and go public? Even if Merrick Garland needs more time to investigate, and we’re still in the early phases of a criminal inquiry, I believe that public safety is in jeopardy.”
Kirschner did not stop there, claiming that Trump should have been arrested years ago. “That is the part that irritates me the most because there are crimes for which Donald Trump could and should be arrested and indicted right now, but instead we are leaving him out there to swindle his following and recruit foot troops for insurgency 2.0.
It’s worth noting that Kirschner never produced any evidence to support his assertions that Trump has done anything other than put America first. And there’s even less proof that he’s enlisting troops for the next insurgency.
