The ABC talk show was once again spiced with rough and loud comments, after co-host, Meghan McCain and Joy Behar went over rails regarding the fight that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) got in with Dr. Anthony Fauci in front of Congress yesterday. after the Republican asked him when Americans will “get our liberties back.”
McCain defended the party of the Republicans, explaining it is written in the DNA to stand up to authority.
“We think big government is bad,” McCain said, according to Decider. “We do not think just bending the knee to big government overlords is the answer to everything. That is an innate philosophical difference between Democrats and Republicans. And I think, unfortunately, the virus and the vaccine have become really politicized, but to lay the blame at the feet of Republicans is just intellectually dishonest.”
“I think it’s easy to just say Republicans are being contrarian,” Meghan continued. “In California, when you look at the draconian lockdowns that Gavin Newsom took to such an extent that have absolutely savaged small business owners.”
But she wasn’t done! She referenced a video, that went viral, showing a woman in front of her own bar, closed due to the pandemic, crying, while a movie was being filmed in front of her business.
“You’re telling me that’s not political?” McCain said. “Because it was more important, according to Gavin Newsom, to have movies open than small bars and small businesses at the same time that he’s going and eating with his friends at the French Laundry inside, not wearing masks?”
