During his address, he also hinted at a run for president in 2024, which, according to this CPAC straw poll, indicates that he has Republican supporters on his side.

On Sunday, former President Trump won a straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), with 55% of respondents saying they would vote for him in a hypothetical 2024 primary.

In the straw poll, 21% said they’d vote for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and 4% said they’d vote for South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, showing Trump’s grasp on the GOP (R).

Almost seven out of ten respondents in the survey said they wanted Trump to run for president in 2024, compared to 15% who said they didn’t and 17% who were undecided.

Ninety-five percent want the Republican Party to stick to Trump’s platform and policies, while three percent think the GOP should change course and two percent are undecided.

Despite all the Democrats have thrown at him, Trump remains a formidable foe.

It’s clear that Biden shouldn’t get too cozy in the Oval Office chair…
