Donald Trump in Houston – a Celebration of Hope
The welcome announcement that President Donald Trump will give the keynote speech at the American Freedom Tour rally in Houston this coming Saturday is a vibrant confirmation of what all who have participated in or attended the rallies to date already knew: the American Freedom Tour is truly a “Celebration of Hope.”
In a time of deepening darkness, it is a shining beacon of light. In a day and age when all that comes from government is despair and despondency, fear and loathing, it is a bastion of faith over foreboding, triumph over disaster.
And that has never been more desperately needed nationwide than it is right now – as the Biden administration, mired in negativism, and obsessed with endless doom and oppressive gloom enters its second year with a steady, deafening drumbeat of “cold winters,” “severe illness and death” and “hospitals soon overwhelmed.”
Peering out fearfully over his ever-present mask, Biden presents an image of a man who clearly wants to stay as far away as humanly possible from those he is supposed to lead. Far from proclaiming, as did the distant predecessor he claims to most want to emulate, that “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself,” Joe Biden makes it abundantly clear that he fears everything and all around him. Which is not surprising from a man who spent his entire campaign hiding out in his own basement.
Contrast that with President Donald Trump and the American Freedom Tours this bold leader clearly inspired. The Trump theme from the day Anthony Fauci scurried to the White House to declare that everyone was about to die was that America would beat the “plague,” that all would return to normal sooner, rather than later, and that he, himself, would step into the fray and take the lead.
Which, of course, is what he did. And will now do again at Saturday’s American Freedom Tour Houston rally.
And it is not just in the area of the covid panic that Donald Trump and the Freedom Tour is working diligently to lift the Biden darkness that has fallen across the land. And, in fact, throughout the world.
Double-digit inflation is now robbing working persons of their very sustenance. Shelves – and tables– are barren. Gasoline prices have fallen victim to Biden’s hollow-eyed fears that a natural gas pipeline will destroy man and beast alike. And he is now preventing middle-class Americans from even being able to afford the drive to work, let alone journey to enjoy the company of friends and family.
And Biden’s “clever” response to all of this? He calls a Fox News reporter who dares to bring up the disastrously rising prices “a stupid son of a bitch.” That is Bidenesque fear and loathing at its worst. Quite the repartee, isn’t it?
As Trump will undoubtedly remind rally attendees, under his leadership, inflation was at an all-time low, and manufacturing had begun to return to America. Companies that had been driven off by the dark and destructive leftwing policies of Biden and his ilk had again begun to look homeward. And the blue-collar worker – the very backbone of America at its best – were beginning to return to the factory floor and the milling rooms.
But, then came Biden, and once again a manufacturing curtain has descended down across the land. In Joe Biden’s dark and brooding mind, the American worker cannot compete with the Chinese, Latin Americans, and any others throughout the world who are forced to work for slave wages and live beneath the sustenance level.
In short, the Trump message was and is, “A rising tide lifts all boats.” The Biden message is “Jump for the lifeboats – and even then, you probably won’t survive.”
On the foreign policy front, the message delivered at American Freedom Tour rallies to date – undoubtedly to be echoed and enhanced by President Trump – is one of peace through strength. While Biden, once again, meekly evanescing into the abyss invites aggression, and then angrily denounces any and all who lament the loss of liberty and life his supine policies cause.
With Joe Biden as president, there is a darkness in the land. You can hear it in the dire, dank, disdainful words of this president and his spokespersons. see it in the eyes of all around you. And you can feel it in your own heart, can’t you?
Fortunately, there is a glowing beacon of light at the end of the tunnel. It started with the first American Freedom Tour rally in Jacksonville, Florida, and grew in volume and vector in Phoenix, Arizona. As with a voice, the thousands of attendees rose in unison time and again to declare their “faith triumphant over their fears.”
Nearly a decade ago, even before he led America in the greatest renaissance in the country’s history, the billionaire businessman Donald Trump told a group of entrepreneurs, “Get going. Move forward. Aim High. Plan a takeoff. Don’t just sit on the runway and hope someone will come along and push the airplane. It simply won’t happen. Change your attitude and gain some altitude. Believe me, you’ll love it up here.”
Contrast that with the empty-eyed refrain of the career politician now occupying the Oval Office, that all we now face is “illness,” “hospitalization,” and “death” — and it becomes obvious why the Trump appearance at the upcoming Houston American Freedom Tour is destined to be a “Celebration of Hope” unlike any seen in far, far too many a day.
