Even after the sham impeachment flopped and the Dems were embarrassed hopelessly, they are still on a hell-bent quest to try to overthrow our first president of America.
It’s nonsense like that.
But Jonathan Turley, a professor of Democratic law, says, “Hold on, not so fast….”
He’s got some bad news for the Dems and the GOP… President Trump won’t be heading for a clinker anytime soon…
Many are calling for criminal prosecutions for anything from incitement to racketeering to bank fraud, with the acquittal of former President Donald Trump in the Senate. After the acquittal, legal experts on CNN and MSNBC appeared to appear as crisis counselors to convince audiences that all was fine because it was possible to clearly prosecute and convict Trump.
The question is how serious Trump is in the face of a litigation threat. The response is that the basis for such charges has been wildly overstated and that Trump is not looking at a ride to the hoosegow any time soon, without additional evidence.
Trump never called for violence and instead urged his supporters to go peacefully to the Capitol to “cheer” on those questioning the electoral votes. Such demonstrations are popular in capitals, and Trump’s voice, though reckless, could be readily interpreted as a call for action rather than violence.
Notably, after announcing that “revenge” could be taken for the betrayal of the president and Congress, Ku Klux Klan chief Clarence Brandenburg also discussed a planned march on Congress. Still, the Supreme Court reversed the sentence.
As a challenge to free expression in our culture, the court has repeatedly dismissed the form of claims raised by Tribe and other legal experts. “In Hess v. Indiana, the court rejected the prosecution of a protester declaring an intention to take over the streets, holding that “at worst, at some indefinite future period, (the words) amounted to nothing more than advocacy of unlawful action.
The court reversed a judgment against the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in another case, NAACP v. Claiborne Hardware Co., after one official announced, “If we catch any of you going to any of them racist stores, we will break your damn neck.” That was ruled as the activism hyperbolic language. That was ruled.
The establishment is completely desperate to keep President Trump from running again.
