Joe Scarborough Spreads Lies About Trump’s Rioters

Joe Scarborough of MSNBC continued the left’s revisionist history of the January 6th Capitol Riots by invoking Trump supporters who went to the rally to “kill police.”

“The police had their weapons drawn to prevent insurgents from storming the House and killing members,” Scarborough said. “They are, in reality, lying.”

The one who is lying is Joe Scarborough. The theory that “capture and kill” teams were among the demonstrators was debunked in January, just days after the Capitol riots.

According to NPR, “the top federal prosecutor for the District of Columbia said Friday that investigators have not found clear proof of any ‘kill/capture teams’ targeting elected officials during the U.S. Capitol insurgency.”

Furthermore, no one was discovered to be armed with a weapon inside the Capitol. Byron York also disproves the widely circulated media narrative.

“The rioters were clearly identified as ‘armed’ on several other occasions,” York writes in the Examiner. “However, the definition necessitates the use of an asterisk, which is rarely, if ever, used. A few of the rioters did have baseball bats or bear spray, and a few used flagsticks or even, in one case, a baseball bat.

Indeed, Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt, who was shot and killed by an anonymous Capitol Police officer, is the only person who can be confirmed to have died as a result of the riots. The officer’s identity has been hidden from the press on purpose. According to the medical examiner’s findings, Brian Sicknick, who was hailed as a hero after his tragic death following the Capitol riots, died of multiple strokes. Sicknick was said to have died as a result of a Trump supporter attack, with bear spray being mentioned as a possible cause of death.

Republicans opposed to Pelosi’s January 6th commission, such as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Scarborough said, do not want “transparency.” This is a strange argument coming from a media that refuses any genuine investigation into what happened in swing states during the 2020 election.

After lying through his teeth, Scarborough said, “They don’t want honesty, Kasie.” “They don’t want to hear the facts. And, of course, they are pursuing Donald J. Trump, the ringleader of the plot to commit sedition against the United States government and prevent the counting of the votes on election day.”
