The concerns, as well as Psaki’s remarks, come in the wake of a Washington Post puff piece claiming Biden works out in the morning and has a personal trainer.

During the press conference, a reporter asked Psaki a softball question about the president’s workout routine and whether he still uses a Peloton stationary bicycle, based on the WaPo article.
The White House press secretary said she didn’t have enough details to comment on Biden’s “private workout routine,” but she did say she has trouble keeping up with him.
Psaki said of 78-year-old Biden, “I can tell you, having traveled with him a decent amount, he’s sometimes hard to keep up with.”

“I know folks have seen that President Biden fell on his way up the stairs to AF1, but I’m pleased to say that he is just fine and did not even need any treatment from the medical team who travels with him,” White House communications director Kate Bedingfield said after the fall became widely publicized.
“It was nothing more than a stair misstep,” she said.

Interestingly, the Washington Post’s article about Biden’s daily routine includes this passage:
“It was a rare glimpse inside a president’s actual life — the extreme scripting and almost surreal regimentation that define Biden’s days, from his arrival in the Oval Office just after 9 a.m. to his brief walk back to the White House residence for dinner with his wife by 7 p.m.”
