Jake Tapper Questions Facebook Executives Why Ever Reinstate Trump

During an interview with Nick Clegg, the social media company’s vice president of global relations and communication, CNN anchor Jake Tapper remarked that Donald Trump’s “falsehoods” are growing worse.

On his CNN broadcast, Tapper stated, “So, Facebook is conceding that Trump used its platform for harm.” “He instigated the bloody uprising. Trump keeps spreading misinformation that have resulted in death threats. Why are you giving him a platform in the first place?”

Clegg responded, “Well, that’s a valid question.” “Some individuals believe Donald Trump should be allowed to use Facebook again right away, while others believe he should never be allowed to use it again.

During an interview with Nick Clegg, Facebook’s vice president of global affairs and communication, CNN anchor Jake Tapper remarked on Friday that Donald Trump’s “falsehoods” are growing worse.

On his CNN show, Tapper stated, “So, Facebook is admitting that Trump used its platform for harm.” “He was the one who instigated the bloody revolt. Trump continues to disseminate lies that have resulted in death threats against him. Why are you giving him such a big stage?”

Clegg responded, “Well, that’s a valid question.” “Some individuals believe Donald Trump should be permitted to use Facebook again right away, while others believe he should never be allowed to do so.

Not only was there violence, but there was also an attack on the Capitol, which some saw as an attack on democracy. What sort of hints are you seeking? He doesn’t seem to be getting much better, to be honest. His deception is becoming more egregious. He believes he will be re-elected president in August.”

Clegg replied, “Sure.” “Look, I’ll be upfront about what I believe and what Facebook can and cannot do. In terms of his history on our site, we can only enforce our regulations. It is neither our function nor our responsibility to censor everything Donald Trump says, good, terrible, or ugly.”

Clegg answered, “Sure.” “Listen, I’m going to be very explicit about what I believe and what Facebook can and cannot do. In terms of his history on our site, we can enforce our policies. It is not our responsibility, and it should not be our responsibility, to censor anything Donald Trump says, good, terrible, or ugly.”
