On Friday, CNN host Jake Tapper launched an attack on Donald Trump, alleging that the former president was projecting a “dangerous alternate reality” with his remarks about the riot in the US Capitol on January 6.
Tapper said that “tentacles from former President Trump’s big lie and the election continue to squeeze American society.” “There are those who are resisting. Dominion Voting has filed a $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox for airing the garbage that fueled the riots on January 6, but the network continues to spread the lies.”

He continued, “Former President Trump was given a massive chunk of primetime last night to further disseminate these toxins telling us that the killer MAGA mob on January 6 was all about peace and love.” “Look, you can judge for yourself if his comments correspond to what we all saw and heard that day, because the pictures from that day are unquestionably graphic and disturbing.”
Tapper played audio from Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle” alongside a video of the Capitol riot, in which Trump said, “It was zero threat.” They went in, as you can see. They shouldn’t have done it in the first place. Some of them entered, embracing and kissing the officers and security guards. They had beautiful friendships, you know.
“Kissing and hugging? What about stomping and murder? “I’ll take care of it,” Tapper said. “It’s the former president’s last-ditch effort at whitewashing, for example, saying he doesn’t have blood on his lips. Five people died in one of the worst days in American history, including Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick. It’s a dangerous alternate reality that Trump keeps projecting, stoking hatred, rage, and discord in the United States.”
Tapper has spent the last four years slamming Trump for pretty much everything he’s done as president, so it’s no surprise that he’s still bitter about him now that he’s out of office.
