Before his first post-presidential rally on Saturday, CNN reporter Donie O’Sullivan spoke with several supporters of former President Trump, many of whom told him they fully expect the real estate mogul to be reinstated before the end of the summer and warned of potential political violence in America if he is not.
“He didn’t lose, I know he didn’t lose,” one woman told O’Sullivan, implying that she believes Trump and other Republicans’ unsubstantiated assertions that massive voter fraud resulted in an unfair election that favored President Biden.

Many of the Trump fans who gathered in Wellington, Ohio on Saturday donned memorabilia and carried placards with phrases like “Trump for President” and “Biden Sucks”.
Another woman told O’Sullivan of her “Trump won” T-shirt, “It’s about all of them, and 2020, and the next one.”
“But he lost in 2020, right?” O’Sullivan pressed the woman about the election results.
“No!” she exclaimed.
Before the gathering, a third set of Trump supporters said the one message they hoped to hear from the former president was that “he’s coming back.”
Trump is said to have been lobbying conservative media allies and other confidants to promote his assertion that the election was rigged and that he would be reinstated as soon as August. There is no system in place to allow for such reinstatement.
“He’s coming back soon, and you guys are going down,” a Trump supporter named Ron told O’Sullivan in Wellington, eliciting laughter from the rest of the group. “The military is already aware that it was a ruse. He won by a margin of more than 80%.”
“He’ll be back before the middle of August,” Ron added.
“What if it doesn’t happen?” says the narrator. O’Sullivan was the one who inquired.
The man said, “We’re going to be in a civil war because the militia will take control.”
A self-described member of the right-wing Three Percenters militia who attended the event informed O’Sullivan that he was at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, when a mob of Trump supporters broke into the facility and momentarily disrupted a joint session of Congress.
At least six Three Percenters have been charged with planning an attack on the US Capitol on that day.
“I don’t think anyone should have gone inside,” the man in a Kevlar vest added, “but when you’re worked up in the moment and the adrenaline is running, you know, it just happens.”
One woman informed O’Sullivan that she thought the insurgency on Jan. 6 was fully “manufactured.”
O’Sullivan questioned the self-declared militia member if he thought there will be more violence in the wake of Trump’s election in 2020.
He said, “Yeah.” “I truly feel it is on its way.”
