On Wednesday, the FBI searched a Homer couple’s home and business. Agents visited the couple, Paul and Marilyn Hueper, at the Homer Inn and Spa. The FBI spokesperson confirmed the information. However, according to the media, the raid was classified as a “court-authorized law-enforcement activity.”
Marilyn shared a post on Facebook that armed agents raided her home business on Ocean Drive Loop, handcuffed her together with her friends. There, she said that the agents confiscated her laptops and phones.

In the post, Hueper explained that the FBI searched for Nancy Pelosi’s laptop. The device was stolen from the Capitol building on January 6, when insurgents connected to Trump stormed the house. According to Hueper, the agents mistook her for another woman.
Numerous rioters entered Congress, and the FBI shared many photos of suspects on its website. Among those images, Hueper found one that looked like her, and the FBI believed it was her.
The FBI broke the door of the Hupers’ living quarters with guns. Also, the agents handcuffed her and two other female guests and started questioning them without showing their badges and warrants.
According to the couple, the agents never read their Miranda rights. Also, they couldn’t manage to read the warrant because of a lack of time. Two and a half-hour later, the agents showed their search warrants.
“The Democrats are utilizing the proven techniques of communism and fascism and weaponizing federal law enforcement for political purposes.”
Everyone can notice that the woman in the picture wasn’t Marilyn Hueper, and she pointed that to the agents.
Regardless of this, her home was raided, the gun safe was unlocked, and their mobile phones and laptops were confiscated. Until today, the agents didn’t return them.
What can we conclude from this event?
Mobile phones and computers are instruments that the government uses to observe and spy on us. Some of us already know this, but it’s a piece of valuable information for those who don’t know.
Marilyn Hueper shared: “We never thought we needed to know our rights. That was for other people to know.”
The TSA has violated the Fourth Amendment, and it states that the situation where the U.S. Constitution is operative text to consult.
“And no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, or the persons or things to be seized.”
The agents must have given the time needed for Huepers to read the warrant. Then, the lawyers will decide if they met or didn’t meet any of the criteria later. These heavy-handed tactics won’t be likely to end in bloodshed. However, the agent could experience another scenario if they target real criminals like BLM or Antifa members.
Maybe the accurate aim of the raid was to scare the people and stop protesting. If you attend a rally in the wrong place or time, you have to expect an FBI call.
Alaska’s legislators must think of scrapping the enigmatic borough system to create counties, as 48 other states did that already.
If we read the Anglo-Saxon common law, the highest authority in a County is the sheriff. People elect him, and he is solely accountable to them. If the sheriff doesn’t approve something, no renegade or politically motivated federal agents can work.
The FBI has to do its job properly! What do you think about this event?
