Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) appeared on Fox News on Friday to explain why he believes Democrats are attempting to stack the Supreme Court. This came just one day after four Democrats proposed legislation to do just that.
The Democrats’ bid to pack the Supreme Court is a “money grab,” according to Scott, because they know Republicans will “take the House back and the Senate back” in 2022.

Scott said, “They know what they’re doing.” “This is yet another example of the Democratic Party’s power grab. They want to stack the Supreme Court so that they can appoint some liberal judges who will support their crazy left-wing agenda.
They want to get rid of the filibuster because they didn’t get 51 votes in the last election and need to be able to, you know, get rid of the filibuster so they can try to pass their progressive agenda.”
He said, “Look, they’re trying to make D.C. a statehood.” “For the Democrats, it’s all about power. Their election bill is all about giving the Democrats more control. It’s all about their power to use compromise to enact huge spending that will ruin this country. By the way, they know the public opposes this, so they’re going to ram it through as quickly as possible because they know we’re going to retake the House in 2022.
This came after Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell slammed Democrats for trying to load the Supreme Court with liberals.
McConnell said, “It’s not just about whether or not this mad bill becomes law.” “The risks themselves are part of the point here. When the justices weigh the evidence of each case, the left wants a sword hanging over them.”
Democrats want the justices to know that they can, quote, ‘pay the price,’ end quote, for decisions that Democrats don’t like,’ he added.
