However, the letter’s overall tone is as follows:
“I am a parasitic phantom. “I want to be in charge of my future, which doesn’t exist.”
According to the New York Post, his wife, Janice McAfee, who tweeted a photo of the note, said, “The handwriting is questionable, and I doubt the note’s legitimacy.” It appears as if someone is attempting to emulate John’s tweeting style.

Here is the alleged suicide note found in John’s pocket. This note does not sound anything like someone who has no hope and is contemplating ending their life. This note sounds like one of John's tweets. #NotASuicideNote #JusticeForJohnMcAfee pic.twitter.com/QCODfvh8sh

The letter is strange in that he doesn’t say “goodbye” to his beloved wife.
Although not performing what is “normal” or “expected” is part of who John McAfee is, we can’t deny that he may be an eccentric cuckoo at times. He was a bit of a “wild card,” so to speak.
I came across this statement from an online user and thought it was really clever and probably accurate.
“He had a phenomenal intelligence, with an IQ of at least 150. He was also a slave to drugs and sex, and he had serious mental problems.
Was he assassinated?
For a variety of reasons, it is certainly feasible. Could he have committed suicide? Absolutely. He was insane.
I’ll remain with assassination until more proof emerges. Communists control the government. By definition, communists are mass murderers; history bears this out.”
It’s possible that we’ll never know what happened or if anything illicit was going on.
People are distrustful, and ready to believe a conspiracy theory right out of the gate, thanks to circumstances like Jeffrey Epstein and widespread skepticism of “government officials.”
