Numerous Android users during the past few days reported that COVID-19 notifications were installed on their phones, and they consisted of warnings on their consent. Regarding the Big Tech, government, and media’s constant lies, who will believe in them, and who could blame them too?
Google shared a response to the claims.
In its statements for a few news outlets, Google didn’t share either positive or negative answers. Noting that “COVID-19 Exposure Notifications are enabled only if a user proactively turns it on.”
We found numerous Massachusetts users who shared on Reddit, Hacker News, and Google’s app reviews that the applications were installed without their knowledge.
One user shared on Google Play, he absolutely did not install this on my phone” and said it was “silently installed without any notification.”
Exposure Notifications “doesn’t have an app icon … you have to go through settings and view all apps,” according to the user. “This is a huge privacy and security overstep by [Gov. Charlie Baker] & Google.”
Another woman said that the program was spyware, and it “seems to want to track my location,” she emphasized that it used her Bluetooth.
