Georgetown Basketball Team Kneels During Anthem and Faces Instant Karma

It doesn’t pay to be “woke,” I’m telling you.

It’s a fool’s game that always ends in some kind of calamity.

Sometimes karma takes a long time to strike, but other times, as in the case of Georgetown University, it strikes quickly.

Colorada eventually defeated Goegtown by a whopping 23 points, knocking the “woke” team out of the playoffs.

From the Post-Millennial

During the playing of The Star-Spangled Banner, the entire Colorado team stood.
During previous games, the Georgetown team has taken a knee for the national anthem, especially after the January 6 riot in Washington, D.C. While the team did not provide an explanation for why they were kneeling, it could be linked to the recent shooting spree in Atlanta, Georgia.

The historically considered Georgetown team, on the other hand, fumbled during the tournament game, losing 96-73 to Colorado. Georgetown was knocked out of the single-elimination tournament as a result of the loss.

Georgetown fell behind early in the game against Colorado and was never able to catch up.
Colorado will advance to the second round to face Florida State University.

Instead of making political statements and turning a collegiate sport into “woke activism,” maybe these players should concentrate on honing their skills and practicing their game in order to win the big games?

This is what happens when you lose sight of why you’re out there in the first place…

You succumb to a humiliating defeat.
