Marc Lamont Hill, who was fully vaccinated, stated on Wednesday that he had a heart attack and had deep vein thrombosis, which resulted in a pulmonary embolism.
“I’m back at home, resting from a difficult week. I was transported to the ER on Saturday after experiencing a small heart attack following my successful Achilles surgery on Friday. DVT (deep vein thrombosis) caused a pulmonary embolism, as it turned out. My lungs were almost entirely obstructed by blood clots, restricting blood flow to my heart.
Doctors informed me I was extremely fortunate not to have perished. Fortunately, the team at Temple University Hospital provided me with EXCELLENT medical treatment. My situation was appropriately assessed by the specialists, and the clots were removed.
. My body is exhausted and achy, but I couldn’t be happier to be alive and on the road to recovery. Please pay attention to what your bodies are telling you.
GO TO THE DOCTOR IF SOMETHING DOESN’T FEEL RIGHT. Don’t be concerned about coming across as a pain or a hypochondriac.
JUST DO IT. Thank you to everyone who stepped up to help or volunteered to aid during this harrowing period. I have incredible friends, a fantastic family, and a lot of undeserved kindness and mercy.” Hill stated this on his Instagram page.
Marc Lamont Hill said on Thursday that the idea that the Covid vaccination caused him to develop blood clots is “ridiculous and utterly false.”
I’m seeing videos and tweets from anti-vaxers saying that I developed blood clots from the vaccine. This is ridiculous and completely baseless. For some, it is a cynical and dishonest claim. For others, it’s a lack of understanding of how medicine and science work.

After my successful Achilles surgery on Friday, I was rushed to the ER on Saturday after suffering a mild heart attack. Over the previous two weeks, I had DVT (deep vein thrombosis), which was caused by my Achilles rupture. This is an extremely common outcome for such injuries.
