Democrats attempted to halt the audit as well – IN TEXAS!
Why are audits so terrifying to them?
In protest of the state’s Republican-backed legislation, the Texas Senate passed a bill with new voting restrictions on Thursday morning, after a Democratic Texas lawmaker finished a roughly 15-hour filibuster in which she had to speak constantly and not lean on her desk, eat, drink, or use the restroom.
Texas lawmakers voted 18-11 in favor of a plan aimed at improving election security.
Debate on the bill began on Wednesday evening, with State Senator Carol Alvarado speaking continuously until shortly before 9 a.m. local time on Thursday.
