FLASH: Fully vaccinated Bill Maher tests positive for COVID-19

The host of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” who is completely vaccinated against COVID-19, tested positive for the virus on Thursday, and his Friday show has been canceled.
“Every precaution has been taken by ‘Real Time’ development in accordance with COVID CDC guidelines,” the tweet continued. “At this time, no other members of the crew or personnel have tested positive.”

Maher responded to the situation with his own tweet:
Thanks to all wishing me get well – hard to do since I feel perfectly fine, but I appreciate it! Most upset about ending my streak going back to 1993 of never missing a Politically Incorrect or Real Time episode. Oh well, even Cal Ripken had to sit one out at some point.

“Thank you to all who has wished me well — it’s difficult to do when I’m feeling good, but I appreciate it! I’m most upset about breaking my run of never missing a Politically Incorrect or Real Time episode, which dates back to 1993 “he penned “Oh well, even Cal Ripken had to take a day off now and then.”
What was the reaction of the left?
Given that Maher is an atheist and a liberal who constantly mocks conservatives, Republicans, and religious believers, one would expect those on the left to be rooting for him and wishing him well.
However, in recent months, Maher has chastised leftists for their risky and misguided actions, as well as self-inflicted injuries. In reality, just last Friday on his show, Maher called Democrats “fun-suckers” and compared them to the Republicans of the 1980s and 1990s.
