Even for people who have recovered from the infection, Anthony Fauci has advocated for wider immunization.
The Cleveland Clinic, in a long-overdue rebuttal, states what has always been understood about infectious diseases: that after a person has recovered from the sickness, they have developed natural immunity.

According to the findings, patients who have already been infected with SARS-CoV-2 do not benefit from the vaccine and should not be vaccinated.
SARS-CoV-2 infection occurred nearly entirely in people who had not previously been infected and were not immunized, according to an examination of cumulative COVID-19 incidence.
COVID-19 incidence did not change significantly between previously infected and currently unvaccinated subjects, previously infected and currently vaccinated individuals, or previously uninfected and currently vaccinated participants.
When compared to previously uninfected and currently unvaccinated subjects, these three groups had a considerably decreased incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Specifically, 99.3 percent of all illnesses during the study period occurred in persons who had never been infected before and had not been immunized. Only 0.7 percent of illnesses occurred in persons who had never been infected but had recently been immunized.
Importantly, there was no evidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in previously infected subjects, whether they were vaccinated or not.
