Reports say that the FDA has banned the EUA for two monoclonal antibody treatments for the early treatment of C-19 infection. It forced Florida Governor DeSantis to comment on this issue.

‘’This evening, without any advanced notice, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) revised the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for bamlanivimab/etesevimab and REGEN-COV,” the Florida Department of Health said.
“The revised EUAs do not allow providers to administer these treatments within the United States.”
The announcement added that as a result of the FDA decision, they will stop using these medications until ‘’further notice.’’
The FDA announced that the monoclonal antibody treatments “are highly unlikely to be active against the omicron variant.”
The pulling was justified “the omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 is estimated to account for more than 99% of cases in the United States as of January 15.”
However, Ron DeSantis tweeted:
“Without a shred of clinical data to support its decision, the Biden Administration has revoked the emergency use authorization for life-saving monoclonal antibody treatments.”
