Experts Say We May NEVER Reach COVID Herd Immunity

The enlightened elite regularly harass critics of mask mandates, social distancing, constant school closures, and other COVID-related disturbances to normalcy.
To the ‘woke’ social and cultural administrators among us, who know better than we, the unwashed people, saying stuff like ‘the powers that be are going to use this pandemic to hang on to their newly gained authority forever’ is clearly unacceptable.

Despite this, the unwashed masses tend to be spot-on with their assessments at every stage.
The goalposts have been routinely moved by ‘lead immunologist’ Dr. Anthony Fauci & Co., as power-mad tyrants like Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer, New York’s “COVID nursing home” governor Andrew Cuomo, and California’s Gavin Newsom (and his Democratic buds in the big cities) refuse to allow their citadels to bend the curve of infection rates after “two weeks to bend the curve” of infection rates has turned into 14
First, we were informed that life couldn’t return to “natural” unless we got a vaccine — back when the enlightened elite thought Donald Trump was joking when he said he’d make sure we got vaccinations (with a “s”) in record time with “Operation Warp Speed.”
That is exactly what we did. There were three of them. And, all of a sudden, having vaccinated wasn’t enough; we’d have to have enough Americans vaccinated to get back to normal.
That thing about “herd immunity.” But even that was debatable, because what percentage of the population would be sufficient?
Is it true that 65 percent of the population is deafeningly deafen Seventy percent? Isn’t it 110%? What are the chances?
Indeed, some ‘experts’ now say that we can never achieve herd immunity.
“Instead of making the long-promised escape, they are coming to the conclusion that the virus will most likely become a manageable threat that will continue to spread in the United States for years to come, still causing hospitalizations and deaths but in far smaller numbers,” according to The New York Times on Monday.
Rustom Antia, an evolutionary biologist at Emory University, told the New York Times, “The virus is unlikely to go anywhere.” “However, we want to do whatever we can to make sure it’s just a minor infection.”
“We will not achieve herd immunity as a nation, a state, or even a city until we have enough immunity in the population as a whole,” said Lauren Ancel Meyers, director of the Covid-19 Modeling Consortium at the University of Texas at Austin.
Is that true?
“People were becoming perplexed, believing that you wouldn’t be able to control diseases until you reached this magical degree of herd immunity, whatever that number was,” the Great Fauci told the paper. “That’s why, in the traditional sense, we started using herd immunity. Forget about it for a moment, I’m saying. If enough people are vaccinated, the number of diseases will decrease.”
