Deaths of Americans Who Refused To Be Vaccinated Against COVID-19, According To Fauci, Were “Completely Avoidable”

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, stated on Tuesday that any further COVID-19-related deaths in the United States would be terrible because death from any coronavirus variation is currently preventable.

Fauci made his comments during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “The Lead.”

Vaccinations are being pushed by Fauci.
“So you also mentioned today that the Delta variation is the greatest threat to progress against COVID-19?” Tapper asked Fauci. Is there any chance we’ll be able to eliminate this menace if getting people to get vaccinated doesn’t work?”

“Well, yes, if you have a significant proportion of people who aren’t vaccinated and you have a mutation like the Delta variant, which has now been clearly proved to spread more efficiently and produce more catastrophic disease,” Fauci responded. That is something we are well aware of from other countries.”

“Those who aren’t vaccinated will be at risk, and we’ll see more infections like we’re seeing now, which will lead to serious sickness and hospitalization,” Fauci warned.

“That’s why we’re pulling out all the stops, Jake, about getting people —you know, going with local type of trusted messengers even in those recalcitrant pockets of individuals who don’t appear to want to get vaccinated,” the top White House doc stated.

“Is it fair to argue that the people who are still dying of coronavirus or in catastrophic medical problems are virtually largely, if not totally, unvaccinated Americans?” Tapper followed up.

“Yes, by a large margin,” Fauci stated emphatically. “The thing that pains me the most, Jake, as a physician, a scientist, and a public health professional, is that it could have been avoided.”

‘People don’t want to get vaccinated for reasons they can’t even explain,’ says Fauci.
“That’s the tragedy,” he continued, “when individuals refuse to get vaccinated for reasons they can’t even explain.” “They simply refuse to be vaccinated.”

Americans who resist immunizations, according to Fauci, need to be better informed.

“It’s on us to deliver that information to individuals who don’t want to get vaccinated because they need more knowledge,” Fauci added. “That’s exactly what we’re aiming for.”

“However, every death from COVID-19 is preventable,” Fauci said. “When that happens, it’s a tragedy.”
