A study published this month by the Congressional Budget Office states that raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2025 will result in 1.4 million employees losing their jobs (giving them an effective wage of $0 per hour) and eliminating 900,000 people from poverty, according to CBNC.
That would mean that the $15 per hour minimum wages would drive a net 600,000 Americans into poverty.
