Coca-Cola Tangled In a Racism Event – Here’s What They Did

According to the images posted online by an alleged informant, Coca-Cola workers are apparently forced to undergo lessons on how to be “less white” to combat racism.

Where the images were taken isn’t entirely obvious. Training entitled: “Confronting Racism,” the photos reveal. Understanding what being white entails. Challenging what being racist entails.

“According to the photos, “be less patriarchal, be less arrogant, be less certain, be less defensive, be less ignorant, be more humble, listen, believe, break with apathy, break with white solidarity” are listed as means of becoming “less white. It does not expand on how it can be done.

“White people are socialized in the U.S. and other Western nations to feel that they are inherently superior because they are white,” one of the slides says. “Research shows that children know that it is better to be white by the age of 3 to 4.”

“It seems that the slide concludes: “Try to be less white.

A conservative lawyer, Harmeet K. Dhillon, wrote that the slides tend to illustrate “blatant racial discrimination” against white people. Candace Owens, a Conservative political analyst, called on staff to file lawsuits against the company.

She wrote on Twitter, “If a corporate company sent around a training kit instructing black people how to “be less black,” the world would implode and prosecutions would follow.” I do hope these workers sue @CocaCola for overt bias and racism.

On its website, Coca-Cola released a statement about the images and tried to distance itself from the content.

“A statement from the company entitled “Statement on The Coca-Cola Company Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Training” reads: “The video and photos credited to a Coca-Cola training program are not part of the company’s learning curriculum.

“Our Better Together global training is part of a learning plan to help build an inclusive workplace,” the Atlanta-based firm said. It consists of a series of short vignettes, a few minutes long each. The training provides links to a range of subjects, including diversity, equality and inclusion, on the LinkedIn Learning site.

On the LinkedIn Learning site, the video in question was accessible but was not part of the curriculum of the business. We will continue to listen to our staff and, as needed, refine our learning programs.

Coca-Cola confirmed to Newsweek that its training is part of the course.

The photos of an internal whistleblower were posted on Friday by Karlyn Borysenko, an activist who supports the prohibition of critical race theory.

For comment, The Epoch Times reached out to Coca-Cola.

The slides seem to draw heavily from the theory of critical race, a Marxist-inspired philosophy that reinterprets history as a struggle between white people and other races, identifying people as “oppressors” and all other ethnicities because of their skin color as “oppressed.”

The theory echoes the class-oriented Marxian division of society and reimagines “class fighting” based on race, gender, and sexual orientation.

In recent years, the idea has crept into public schools, universities, workplaces, and the federal government. In 2020, former President Donald Trump released an order banning training for federal employees on the basis of critical race theory, prompting alerts from free speech advocates and conservatives.
