“CBS News is facing backlash after sharing a video on Twitter on Thursday that critics claim cropped out a key part of body camera footage showing the police chase that resulted in the death of 13-year-old Adam Toledo in Chicago last month. On March 29, a Chicago police officer pulled up to a spot on the city’s West Side and instantly encountered two people, one of whom appears to be Toledo, fleeing from the officer.

“When Toledo is shot in the face, he seems to keep his hands up. He died as a result of his injuries. A brief glimpse of Toledo carrying a pistol is also seen in the video, which he seems to have discarded an instant before the fatal shot was fired. CBS News, on the other hand, tweeted a mobile-friendly video. As a result, the bodycam footage was cropped on both sides, and the image of Toledo carrying the gun was removed… The backlash from the tweet is the network’s most recent snafu. CBS News sparked a political firestorm earlier this month with a botched ’60 Minutes’ special accusing Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of a ‘pay-for-play’ arrangement with the grocery store chain.
CBS News falsely tweeted, “Newly released bodycam video shows Chicago police pursuing and fatally shooting 13-year-old Adam Toledo as he appeared to comply with commands to lift his hands.” They were well aware of the facts and purposefully edited it out. Anyone who gets their news from CBS has to be a complete moron.
“Yeeeesh, dishonesty is just the kind of thing we should stop in these incredibly tense times…” Geoffrey Ingersoll, the editor in chief of the Daily Caller, responded. He knows what he’s talking about. CBS has morphed into a hard-left propaganda machine. If there was ever something else in the modern world, it is now nothing more than that.
